She works primarily with students who have dyslexia as well as those who suspect dyslexia may be the reason for their struggles in reading and spelling. She is certified in the Barton Reading & Spelling System and holds a Master’s Degree in Reading Ed
Erin Gilder M.Ed. has been working as a private Reading Specialist for over a decade. She works primarily with students who have dyslexia as well as those who suspect dyslexia may be the reason for their struggles in reading and spelling. She is certified in the Barton Reading & Spelling System and holds a Master’s Degree in Reading Education. Before starting her private practice, she taught in several elementary schools in both California and Montana. Erin currently resides in Missoula, MT with her husband and their four sons.

Rachel Kamura has taught Elementary School for the last twelve years at various grade levels. She has spent the last two years working as an academic interventionist with an emphasis in reading intervention. Rachel has been trained in the science of reading for grade levels preK through 6th grade. Rachel is passionate about students finding confidence and enjoyment in learning. She seeks to provide all students with the tools and strategies that can be used in the classroom and in real life. Rachel received her Masters Degree in Education Leadership with the hopes of understanding the education system and ways to strengthen academics for all students and teachers.

Welcome to Montana Tutoring Academy, my name is Tarah Hillesland. I live in Missoula with my husband Terran and our four children, Finn, Anders, Helli, and Soren. I am originally from Missoula and love spending time outdoors with my family. This will be my 11th year teaching. I taught First Grade, 7th and 8th grade math and Pre-K in Eastern Montana before moving back to Missoula. I have enjoyed the last four years teaching at Big Sky Preschool Academy here in Missoula and am looking forward to many more! Since graduating in 2011 with my BA in Elementary Education from U of M, I have continued to grow as an educator through countless trainings and conferences. Some Include national direct instruction conferences in Chicago, IL and The Science of Reading for early childhood. This fall I will be working on an Orton-Gillingham certification. I am excited to share my passion for teaching with you and your family!
